Privacy Policy

At Eduledger, we provide the platform, but you own and control the data. This policy outlines how your school's information is isolated and protected.

1. Data Ownership and Isolation

Eduledger operates as a SaaS (Software as a Service) provider. All data entered into the system by a school remains the sole property of that school.

Each school's data is logically isolated within our platform. This ensures that no school can ever access another school's data, and access is strictly limited to authorized personnel within your institution.

2. Provider Access (Zero-Knowledge Principle)

We respect the confidentiality of school records. As the platform provider, Eduledger employees do not have access to your internal school data, including student profiles, fee records, attendance, or academic marks.

Our system is designed such that we manage the infrastructure and the application, while the school manages the data. We do not "see" or monitor your daily school operations or individual student records.

3. Data Points Managed by the System

The platform is designed to store the following data points solely for the school's use:

  • School Identity: Name, address, contact email/numbers, and academic session details.
  • Staff Profiles: Names, emails, phone numbers, employee IDs, and roles. All passwords and MPINs are hashed - not even our system administrators can read them.
  • Student & Guardian Records: Admission numbers, names, Aadhaar numbers, date of birth, and guardian contact details.
  • Financial & Academic Data: Fee categories, invoices, payment history, attendance logs, and exam results.

4. Technical Data Collection

To ensure the security and reliability of the service, we collect minimal technical metadata:

  • Device Identifiers: Used solely to manage active mobile sessions and security tokens.
  • Push Notification Tokens: Used only to deliver alerts (like fee reminders) directly to your staff devices.
  • Activity Logs: Internal logs of actions performed within the app, accessible only to the school's administrators for audit purposes.

5. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols. We utilize secure cloud infrastructure to host the platform, ensuring high availability and protection against unauthorized access.

6. No Third-Party Selling

Eduledger does not sell, trade, or share any school data with third parties. Data is used only to provide the service you have subscribed to.

7. Account Deletion and Data Retention

If you want to delete your Eduledger account or request deletion of account-linked data, please email support@eduledger.in from your registered email address with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request.

After successful verification, we will delete or de-identify the applicable account information from active systems within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain certain records for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security logging, or billing reconciliation.

If your account belongs to a school-managed workspace, some records may also remain under the school's control where the school is the data owner and legal controller of those records.

  • How to request deletion: email support@eduledger.in from your registered email address.
  • What is typically deleted: account profile data, login access, and associated personal account information that is no longer required.
  • What may be retained temporarily: audit logs, billing references, compliance records, and security-related logs where retention is legally or operationally necessary.
